MY DMsGUILD PROJECTS

The freedom to publish such a wide array of content that is firmly grounded in the primary setting of the world's most popular tabletop RPG is both fun and rewarding. The advent of the DMsGuild has allowed the creation of massive amounts of imaginative content and brought attention to some incredibly talented individuals. Publishing my own content on there has improved my own visibility as a designer and allowed me to showcase my strengths when I have approached companies like LoreSmyth and JetPack7.

It has also been a fantastic creative outlet. While I like the focus of working on a project that originates with someone else, there are times where I see an area ripe for content the kind of content that gets me excited. With DMsGuild, I am free to build it and share it with others. It isn't always easy - good artwork is difficult to find and expensive to commission, the layout can be technically challenging, and you never know if the rest of the audience for Dungeons and Dragons is going to be as enthusiastic about your creation as you are. I have been fortunate enough that many of my works have been noticed positively and had a spotlight shined on them by others.

Check out my specific commentary on two of my works Alien Influence and Dread Necromancer ) for more perspective on how I approach designing for DMsGuild.

Recently, I have been so busy being involved in freelance work that I have not been active on the DMsGuild. I have several titles that need some updates - with the publication of Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes there is a lot of content in Heroes of the Planes that have become redundant and I have a new cover art style that I would like to implement. I'm also considering utilizing DriveThruRPG more going forward. I feel like it might behoove me to release fixed-price products over there and PWYW or smaller titles on DMsGuild as a form of advertising. Stay tuned for updates!
